About cashback referral offers
A cashback signup bonus is unusual in that it stacks with the program's normal earning. The Rakuten Canada offer pays a bonus once your qualifying purchases reach a threshold within the window, and you also earn the regular cash back on those same purchases. Nothing is given up to claim the bonus.
The catch is attribution.
